A new infographic explores the impact of colour and perception on logos, and what can make or break a brand.

The infographic takes a look at the effect different colours evoke, such as red for intensity or blue for clarity, and how they have been used in world famous logos.

It also examines the history of logos, from the origins of Coca-Cola, through BBC’s Nineties rebrand, to the 2012 Olympics design.

Some interesting facts are also uncovered, such as the original Pepsi logo, which it describes as a ‘Coca-Cola copycat’, and the meaning behind the names of Nokia and Canon.

Take a look at the whole infographic here and tell us what you think makes a logo memorable.
